Busy Day Ahead

Off to pre-K with my daughter after posting this. Short day for her -- one hour, and I stay in the classroom.

Home again, and right out to get the car inspected. (This ought to have been done last week.)

Pick up son at school at 2:30 or so.

Try to get together with neighbors with whom we'll be sharing to/from school stuff, whom we've been trying to get together with all week.

Cleanups left over from yesterday (shoulder's better, but not 100%, thanks).

Assorted crises. Put out fires. Fix stuff. Like that.

It's just two weeks since I went to Florida, and yet I hadn't unpacked my overnight bag until now. I totally forgot that there was something in there of inestimable value.

My sister had apparently unearthed a tape my late beloved grandfather had made, of his life story. Someone (probably her husband or my brother) ripped that and burned CDs for the family, and they gave me mine that night.

Tonight I'm likely to be flowing tears as I listen after the kids go to bed. I'm looking forward to it.
