That's me, ready to collapse. Daughter's nightmares/terrors again. This time, it took nearly an hour (starting at 1:30) to calm her down. Tried to get to bed; half an hour later, she was wailing again.
She utterly refused to sleep on the bed, so I made a nest on the floor by folding two comforters in half. She slid down to it, and cried every time I tried to leave the room. Kept pushing me away when I tried to comfort her, but clung when I tried to leave. I wound up sleeping next to her, on the floor, wakened in the morning (oddly enough, at just the time I needed to be) by one of the cats.
I am ready to melt into a puddle on the bed, and must still pick her up at pre-K.
Fortunately, my son has a playdate in the afternoon and is being picked up at school by not-me. Perhaps I can doze while my daughter plays.
Otherwise, I think I'm done for the week.
Bleah.
