redaxe: (Twisty little LJ entries)

  • Aragorn, publisher (Thanks, DMC on the list, for the title and link)

  • NSFW: A gallery of approximately 300 body painting pics. Some are "why bother"; some are masterpieces

  • A machine that plays guitar

  • Indiana Jones denied tenure: Though Dr. Jones conducts "field research" far more often than anyone else in the department, he has consistently failed to report the results of his excavations, provide any credible evidence of attending the archaeological conferences he claims to attend, or produce a single published article in any peer-reviewed journal. Someone might tell Dr. Jones that in academia "publish or perish" is the rule.

  • Bob Barker is finally retiring. The man whom TV Guide estimates has made more TV appearances than any other will finally make it (more) possible for other folks to challenge his record. *sigh* And he was the #3 or #4 reason I actually enjoyed the show...

  • Keeping Score: Explorations of works by Beethoven, Copland, and Stravinsky by annotating a score as it plays. The first one is Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major (the Eroica) (requires Flash). Pretty cool.

All is as it was, only You Are There :-)

Alternet has the Countdown segment Keith did with Mike Stark (the man who asked George "Macaca" Allen if he had in fact spit on his first wife, to verify or dispel the rumor that that was why the records of the Senator's divorce from her had been sealed).

I think I get to add Calling All Wingnuts, Stark's blog, to my reading list. Thanks loads, Keith! :-)
