Katha Pollitt's New Year's Resolutions for liberals (via). I disagree with her only in one particular: "spirituality" and "faith" are not identical to "religion" (the first two are personal, the latter is organized and communal). Aside from that, these sound good.
Henry Waxman is my new hero. Okay, so he was an old hero, but this gives him a jolt. (I actually knew it was coming; nice it see it from day one. And yes, I also knew that Joe Liarman was his Senate counterpart and that Henry was going to have to do the heavy lifting.)
