Jul. 5th, 2007 08:59 amTired. Not slept enough the last several days.
Saw the fireworks over the East River -- AND over the harbor -- last night, from a conference room (on the 48th floor at work). It's a little odd not looking up -- and mostly looking down -- at fireworks. But what we saw -- the building is between 5th and 6th Avenues, and therefore we didn't see the stuff low to the river -- was pretty. And loud. REALLY loud; it was clear (to me, at least) that fireworks are a close relative to bombs intended to do real damage, just from the noise.
I have just heard something at least as loud, though of a different order. I hear the screams of the Anthony-haters. Hang on, guys; there are only a few months to go, and then, POOF! (Yes. I'll miss FBorFW. It's not as gutwrenching as it was some years ago, but then, who needs to have their innards twisted allatime? There are still some laughs, some tears, and some awwws; enough to keep me reading, at least.)
