*has been jonesing for Sunshine Raisin Bars, now sadly no longer produced*

*envies those who can still easily purchase Crawford's Garibaldis, essentially the same as the Sunshines, in a brick-and-mortar store*

(Yes, I can order them online; no, it's not the same as just zipping into the supermarket and coming home with chewy raisiny love. Even if I ought not to, anyway, because of my blood sugar.)

The letter I just sent my Senator

Senator Schumer,

As we now know, the United States tortured prisoners. We also know that the justification for this unconstitutional and illegal regime was provided by several attorneys, notably including John Yoo and Jay Bybee.

We also know that during his confirmation hearing, Bybee lied to the Senate, and you voted for confirmation, placing a liar and torture advocate on the Federal bench for life.

It's time to rectify that error, in light of the information we now have. Please join with the growing number of Congresspeople and Senators who want to impeach Jay Bybee as unsuitable for his position. Please also urge Attorney General Holder to prosecute Jay Bybee et al., or at least to appoint an independent prosecutor to determine whether they did in fact break US law, international law to which we are signatory, and the Constitution.

Please let's return this country to the rule of law, not tyranny and whim, as we experienced under George W. Bush.
