Home from Lunacon; easy drives up and back, and the time there was okay but would have been better had Number One Son not been under interdict (lack of trust, incurred for some major issues not long before the con). That meant less free time for the parents, one of whom had to watch him at all times for the first time in years.

One major thought from this con: what's the over/under of iPads and other large-size flat portables (including Kindles, Nooks, and other tablets or pads) to expect at Conterpoint as the new filk book technology? I'm guessing 20, with early iPad adopters leading the way (following the wave of netbook and thin-and-light notebooks over the past several years). I'm still hoping the Pixel Qi-screen-equipped model comes out in time for it to be useful at OVFF.

The bed is singing a siren song...

216 for HCR!

Stupak still sucks, forcing others to live under his moral code, rather than their own.

And Alan Grayson is exactly right: we have single-payer, called Medicare. Open it up to anyone wishing to pay their way into it.

But for now, 216, and the Party of No can read the writing on the wall for November: No to them. And good riddance.

This has been my brain on fatigue poisons and political jubilance.
