Why
For those too lazy or unable to read the article above, the gist is this: Beginning August 4, non-US citizens entering the US via Canada, except for Canadian citizens, will be required to carry wireless tracking devices, containing their biometric information, while in the US.
Why is this absurd? Well, if the idea is that you're trying to track someone, how difficult is it for hir to pass the card to someone else, and disappear? Even if the fraud is then discovered, you've lost track of that person. Strike one.
As if Canadian citizens are all safe :-) Strike two.
As if US citizens are safe :-) You are OUTTA here!
Here comes Big Brother. Why couldn't we have some OTHER prophet, like maybe Camus, instead? :-D
