Quote of the day
Oct. 8th, 2006 09:00 amStolen shamelessly from Gen. JC Christian:
ETA: I've been rewatching Babylon 5, and am just through Season 2, heading into Season 3. (It's good background for work through the night; I get through about 8-10 eps in a work session.) This quote really strikes a nerve, given both the story arc and the current Real Life political situation. I hate to think a cycle of intolerance, oppression, narrowmindedness and bigotry is inevitable; I vote for a return to the light.
As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there's a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness. -- Justice William O. Douglas Jr.
